When I saw this bumper sticker the other day, at first I laughed. Then I read it again and thought about it. There is a day coming, and perhaps even has come, when non-judgment will prevail.
What does that mean?
Jesus said, “Judge not, lest you be judged,” right? Jesus was a non-judgmental guy. He actually warned us against condemning individuals, not to judge them.
Someday we will stop judging one another and accept each of us for who we are, stop the criticizing and hating others for their opinions and actions.
And that someday can be today if we chose.

What is getting in your way of a JOYful Journey?
We all have things in our lives that get in the way.
It could be negative friends, a failing relationship or an unhappy job situation.
All of these things are types of clutter that gets in our way.
Is clutter an obstacle on your path?
Today, I’d like to focus on the clutter that is around you in your house. This is a very therapeutic place to start …. deCluttering what is directly in contact with your life, at this very moment. It’s a great way to cleanse your house and mind and get on the path to eliminating the baggage that holds you back from being your true self and having the life you want.
By deCluttering the things around you, you start to feel better about yourself, which in turn can help you eliminate the other areas of clutter in your life.
Is your closet stuffed full of clothes you never wear?
Is there no room in your garage for your car?
Is your house in a tizzy?
Do you spend an endless amount of time looking for things?
Do you wish that you were more organized?
What is going on in your world?
Are you living in a world of clutter and disorganization?
You are busy with your life, your career, your hobbies, your family. We downsize our dreams of how our life might be. Can you relate to this? Sometimes it doesn’t so feel good.
I invite you to look around you in this moment.
Is your desk covered with papers and junk?
Are things spilling around you and on to the floor?
Is there a mess in the kitchen sink from last night’s dinner?
Are your clothes scattered all over your bedroom?
“But . . . I don’t know where to start.”
As you look around you, I want to invite you let’s have a conversation to help support you in making your life more in alignment with your vision and who you really want and desire to be ….. to be clutter free ….. to know where things are …… to save time in knowing where everything is and create more time in your life to do the things you really want to do.
A place for everything! A thing for every place!
After many years of being disorganized myself, I have learned some valuable tools to help you reclaim, find and build your life back again to live without the clutter and disorganization. So many of us are striving for this but we don’t know where to start.
I encourage you to take a few moments and feel the space around you. How would you envision your space to look? How would having less clutter help you see your life and the world? How would this renewal of space help you in your daily life?
How can deCluttering help me get organized in other areas of my life?
Listen to your thoughts.
I invite you to claim your space and your surroundings for YOU. Take responsibility, listen to your heart and step into a new way of thinking as you clear the clutter from your life.
Ask yourself …… “Does this bring me JOY?”
I have a FREE offer for you …… Let’s arrange a time for us to talk about deCluttering your life and your space. Click this link to schedule. Sometimes, all we need is a guiding hand for support.
You know . . . you can do this!
“Out of clutter, find simplicity.”
~ Albert Einstein ~
Once you notice the things there are to listen to,
you allow new and wonderful gifts for yourself.
You begin to listen without actually thinking.
When you find your mind thinking,
bring it back to listening.
Any judgments, opinions, stories, beliefs, labels
or concepts that arise might come in.
Note these and then return to listening.
Align yourself with peace, contentment, love, acceptance and JOY.
Give it some LVE.
Did you ever encounter someone who gave off negative vibrations when you were around them? We all have experienced this in some way or another. These people leave you with an uneasy feeling, perhaps making your solar plexus tighten, or you feel stress in your neck and shoulders. You feel drained and your energy level is compromised because they exhaust you. Perhaps being in a crowd of people lowers your energy levels and makes you feel uneasy. You feel depleted when you take on another’s energy or are around negativity. Sensitive people tend to feel these toxic people more when they are around them.
So how do we deal with these feelings?
One of the ways is to breath deeply and center yourself. Breathing is of utmost importance.
Imagine that you are covered in loving, white light shielding you with a protective layer of positive energy.
You may also want to smudge yourself with sage, sing or go for a walk in Nature after you encounter this negativity.
Allow the energy of laughter and love to calm your mind. Think of something funny or an incident that made you smile.
Spend time with a baby or small child. This will always bring delight and joy watching them being present as only a child can do.
Stay in the company of those that you enjoy being around and those who support and nurture you.
Here’s to a positive and joyful day!!
Times are difficult globally; awakening is no longer a luxury or an ideal. It’s becoming critical.
We don’t need to add more depression, more discouragement, more anger to what’s already here.
It’s becoming essential that we learn how to relate sanely to difficult times.
The Earth seems to be beseeching us to connect with joy and discover our innermost essence.
This is the best way we can benefit others.

What is there to life but to live happy, joyous and free?
~ Damon Freedom Williams ~
Our minds are a wonderful tool but there is a dark side. The egoic mind pretends to be useful, a voice inside our head chattering all day long. At times it tells us that we are unhappy, sad, judging, parenting us. Most of the time we don’t question it. We are programmed to believe our thoughts whether or not they are true or even helpful.
While we don’t question our thoughts, most of the time we are busy questioning the thoughts of others. Turns out that the voice inside our head is probably not a good guide to life, yet we do what it says most of the time. It causes negative emotions, anger, feelings of worthlessness and makes us depressed. That could be called the false ego, not the true self that seeks freedom, joy and happiness.
It takes practice and meditation to give our attention to our true self, to experience who we truly are: seekers of what makes us truly happy, to be free and joyous.
The more we experience joy and happiness, the more content we are. When we are in the present, or the Now, as Eckhart Tolle writes, we experience joy, kindness, love, patience and freedom, which is our true nature. When we put the egoic mind on the back burner, we can live a life filled with happiness, joy and freedom.
What is there to life but to live happy, joyous and free?

If you follow my blog you know that each year I choose a word for that year. This year, my word is “Happiness!” Each year is a new beginning and each year I focus on that word. What’s your word for this New Year?
“No, this is not the beginning of a new chapter in my life;
this is the beginning of a new book!
That first book is already closed, ended, and tossed into the seas;
this new book is newly opened, has just begun!
Look, it is the first page! And it is a beautiful one!”

“Realize that if a door closed,
it’s because what was behind it wasn’t meant for you.”

“Perhaps that is where our choice lies
— in determining how we will meet the inevitable end of things,
and how we will greet each new beginning.”

Happy New 2014. Wishing you happiness, health and success!
People inspire you or they drain you. Pick them wisely!
~ Hans F. Hansen ~
It is your choice.
There are no mistakes …. there are only lessons. Life repeats those lessons for us until we learn them and sometimes it takes on various forms. Sometimes it takes a lot of time for it to sink into our being and we finally learn from those lessons.
Those we associate with are only mirrors of ourselves. There is something that person has that has attracted you to them, be it something you love about yourself, or something you hate about yourself. Ultimately, the choice is up to you what you do with them. You have everything you need to make that decision. All the answers lie within you, just look, listen and trust your own best judgement.
Make the happy choice because you are in the driver’s seat.
Once you make your mind up to be happy, everything will change. Let go of all the emotional baggage. Give yourself permission to be happy.
While you aren’t always happy all the time, and that’s OK, accept the times when you aren’t. Focus on how your body feels when you are aren’t happy. Perhaps letting go of limiting beliefs and stress, along with emotional baggage might help you get more present and be aware of those feelings. It’s your decision, your choice.
If you choose to look on the bright side of life, your life will brighten. What you focus on will manifest and the outcome will be far more positive. And don’t forget to smile. Release the true optimist within you! That alone will draw those positive and inspiring people into your life that you want to associate with.
