Books. Internet. Chocolate. Me.
Photography has always been my passion, ever since my Dad gave me my first Canon SLR when I was 10 years old. Today, I never go anywhere without a camera. I spent a number of years in Alaska where my passion expanded because one is continually surrounded with the beauty of nature. Many of the photographs that I share with you are from there.
So why was I inspired to start this blog?
About three years ago, someone suggested I read Eckhart Tolle. I had never heard of him, so out of curiosity, I purchased The Power of Now and it arrived around the time of The Husband’s birthday. I decided that I would put it in his bag of birthday goodies and if he didn’t like it, oh well, no loss. However, he bogarted the book for days, reading it from cover to cover, several times. “So when do I get to read it?” I asked. He amusingly referred to this as the “Homer Simpson Gift”. Remember when Homer gave Marge a bowling ball for her birthday with his name engraved on it? OK, so it was a gift intended for me, rather than for your birthday, Dear. But look where it lead us in our ever changing journey.
Speaking of journeys …. I am an avid photographer and I wanted to be an inspiration to my blog followers, so I decided that I would add quotes, thoughts and writings along with some of my best photographs. I hope you will enjoy my blog and please let me know what inspires you as you awaken along your journey of life.

Perhaps you might want to check out Oprah’s interview with Tolle. They discuss one chapter at a time. It made so much more sense to me seeing that rather than reading the book. I like Deepak Chopra and Alan Watts as well.
