Can YOU do this every day?

So often we get caught up in our every day routine and wouldn’t dare do something that might draw attention to ourselves.  We all have our “off beat” traits but are afraid to express them for fear of what someone else will think of us. Instead of being ourselves, we seek out ways to suppress our eccentricities that those around us might think of as being “odd”.

How would you feel about totally being yourself … if no one was watching? Or if you knew for certain that those people waiting in line at the cash register or in your work place wouldn’t judge you if you did something random that made you happy, like get up and start dancing to your favorite song? What if no one even notice?

Visualize your day without any judgement of your or those around you. Go ahead, shake your tail feathers in that dance class you always wanted to take, color your hair purple, skip across the street, shout out to the heavens that you love your life!! What is stopping you? Inevitably, someone is going to disapprove. But who cares?  Be the YOU you were born to be!!

Celebrate your individuality!  Life is short!!!

“You’ve gotta dance like there’s nobody watching,
Love like you’ll never be hurt,
Sing like there’s nobody listening,
And live like it’s heaven on earth.”

Mark Twain …. Alfred D. Souza …. William Purkey ….. we aren’t sure who originated this quote so I’ll give credit to all.

  1. Yes! For the most part I do do those things everyday and I don’t care who is watching or who hears me – I do it because it makes ME happy! Thanks for sharing – great, great post!!!!!

    • Thanks Cindy. Sometimes I find myself so caught up in everyday life that I forget to take time to dance and sing to some of my favorite music. I am making an effort to do that every day.
